A
Of course not. You don’t have to be 100% plant-based to benefit from this course. We encourage you to look at this course as a resource to help you better understand basic cooking and nutrition principals – information we hope will encourage you to begin incorporating more plant-based foods into your diet. While this course won’t teach you how to prepare animal-based foods, the techniques you learn here, can be applied to any diet that you follow.
Q Why plant-based only?
A
While there are many different, and often conflicting viewpoints around diet and health today, most healthcare professionals have come to agree, that everyone can benefit from incorporating more plant-based foods into their diet. Culinary Rx focuses on plant-based cooking and nutrition to balance out the playing field to help educate, equip and empower our physicians and healthcare practitioners, and our home and professional cooks, with knowledge about the indisputable benefits of plant-based nutrition. For those who do not wish to consume a 100% plant-based diet, that’s okay. It is our hope that our efforts with this course will help you see the benefits of increasing your consumption of plant-based foods to accompany whatever other food choices end up on your plate.
